RIP Stompie

 

"Stompie" was poached on Mount Camdeboo private game reserve in May 2014. His name came about as a result of knocking his horn off en-route to the game reserve. We were devastated as he was intended to be the dominant bull but in losing his horn this position was also lost. We journeyed with him as his horn slowly regrew, believing that one day he would take back his rightful position in the breeding group known as a “Crash of rhino”. Unfortunately his horn being poached cost him his life and strong genetics. 

 

Rest in peace old boy and may your life inspire us all to stand up and save your magnificient species.
